While the name of the house might be a bit misleading (at this is definitely not a little home by any stretch of the imagination) it still is a makeover that makes clever use of every inch of square footage on offer.
There were times when homeowners and builders simply bulldozed everything in the way in an effort to build the perfect home. But all that has changed dramatically in the last decade with eco-friendly home design and sustainable architecture finding new ways to craft homes that interact with the surroundings in a positive and planet-friendly manner.
When it comes to the world of housing in an urban setting space is often the biggest limiting factor. And in Vietnam this problem becomes even more stark as narrow homes with distinct Southeast Asian colonial architecture sit next to one another.
Designed by NatureArch Studio this narrow house is set on a plot that is just forcing the architects to make the most of every inch of space on offer. What it lacks in width the home makes up for easily in height as its various public and private spaces are stretched across four different levels.
Even the entry captures the uniqueness of the home with a loggia that offers a view of the garden even as it leads you into the living room. A neutral color palette warm wooden tones and a smart lap pool add to the air of comfort and relaxation indoors even as the homeowners take in the sights and sounds outside!
